Montage Mountain Classics

Our next club meeting will be on August 4th, at 7:00 PM at Diskens Saloon.

It was great to see everybody that came out to support an event such as this one. One thing we can say, is there are a lot of people that opened up their hearts to support a fund raiser such as this one. I will have pictures of this event on our site and hope you enjoy them. The one thing I feel bad about, is I did not get a picture of Phoenix. Dave may have got one and might have it on his site which has a link to it on the bottom right side of my home page. I know speaking for the people that set this up and those that helped at the lot, that they want to thank everybody that supported Phoenix in this event. If it wasn’t for the donations and the time that everybody has to give up, events like this would not be as successful as they are. Once again, thanks to everyone.

Our cruise at the Shoppes on Mountage Mountain is coming up soon. July 26th, 5 PM to 9 PM to be exact. We have some nice gifts from some of the area merchants to hand out during our give away part of our 50/50. Gifts were donated by the following merchants
Kildares Irish Pub, Starbucks, Longhorn Steakhouse, Coldwater Creek, The Gourmet Slice, The Pretzel Twister, Panchero’s Mexican Grill, Panera Bread, and Bare accessories. Prizes range from merchandise to $25.00 gift certificates. So cruise on up, check out the mall and hang out with everyone there.

One of our members is having a Breakfast Cruise in at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Parry St. in Luzurne. The breakfast will run from 8 AM until Noon, price will be $5.00 per person in the classic car and $2.50 per child in the car. If you don’t bring a show piece, prices will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. The date for this event will be August 24th.

Had our cruise at Kildares Irish Pub on the Mountain and it turned out pretty nice. The night was beautiful and the location just right. People had nice places to sit and relax either on the grass by the rock ledges or in the patio area. It was a great nice to just sit, and chat with friends. As usual, our DJ, Paul was there to play our favorite tunes. Pictures will be posted.

I have finally updated the photo gallery and added pictures from my trip to Ocean City, our first successful cruise at McDonalds and the the Grayce Farms car show. And my latest addition was our last cruise at McDonalds on 7-11-08. Sorry I am grouping most of the pictures but my ankles aren’t what they use to be and I can’t spend much time walking around.

Had the opportunity to be at the Grayce Farms Car Show on Sunday. This event is held at a very nice location, on the old farm. Plenty of areas to sit in the shade on a nice day. This event is held to benefit the Fleetville Fire Company, turn out was great with over 150 participants. Plenty of Trophy’s were handed out with 3 going to each class plus one for Best Chevy, Best Ford and Best Mopar. Jerry, you and your staff did a great job and I would think everyone enjoyed their day their.

Had two cruises during June and both went well. Our club thanks all of you that showed up at our cruises and hope to continue seeing you through the rest of the summer. During July you will find us at McDonald’s in the South Side Shopping Center on Friday July 11 from 6PM to 10 PM then we will be at Kildares Irish Pub at the Montage Mountain Mall on Tuesday, July 15 from 9 PM till ???? you will then find us at Johnny Rockets on Montage Mountain on Saturday July 19 from 5 PM to 9 PM. and then to close the month out we will be hoping for a successful cruise at The Shoppes on Montage Mountain on Saturday July 26th from 5 PM till 9PM. we have some nice give aways for the Shoppes on the Mountain cruise on July 26th. Some of the shoppes and almost all of the eateries have donated something. See you at the Cruises.
